Here we start developing the concept of “Time Sampling,” which uses frequencies and vibrations of objects to trace their paths through history. The first of these artifacts is a tuning fork owned by Alexander Graham Bell.
While it may sound like a tacky acronym, W.I.L.D. (Wake Initiated Lucid Dreaming) is a “real” thing.
(WILD) is used to refer to any lucid dream where the dreamer brings their woken awareness into a dream while falling asleep.
Also known as the Temporal Paradox, this is basically the result of super smart nerds disproving just about every concept of Time Travel that’s been presented in science fiction. This is where Time Samplers goes the extra mile.
Instead of actually changing or travelling through an actual timeline (or creating a new one), the W.I.L.D. machine allows the manipulation of a person’s dream state to be influenced by an echo of history.
In the debut issue, Lex and Cal take a trip to Jekyll Island circa 1913 – the birthplace of the Federal Reserve. Here they must fight off hordes of sheeple as they uncover the plans of Alexander Graham Bell, JP Morgan, William Rockefeller, and other elites.
